One of the most exciting aspects of my pregnancy with my firstborn, S, was not finding out her gender until she was born.
The moment I found out I was pregnant I immediately felt like it was a girl. It's hard to explain how you just "know" but I really felt like I did. On my husbands side of the family the order of grandkids had been: girl, boy, boy, boy, boy.

Here's the moment she was born and I peaked to see if she was a boy or girl.
Here's the moment after I saw she was a girl and celebrated with my husband, B. Thrill is a complete understatement. Pure excitement!

Two of my sister-in-laws were pregnant the same time that I was and we were all within a month apart (also very fun experience). And guess what they both were having? Boys! My family and my husbands family weren't thrilled about having to wait until baby was here to find out if there was going to be another boy or girl in the family. But I loved it. It was a little "push" motivation for me.
The most inconvenient part of waiting to find out was during every ultrasound (we had to get a lot because baby was measuring big and I was borderline poly) we had to remind them we were doing a surprise gender and to be careful to try and not reveal anything when scanning again. It just started to feel like an inconvenience and hassle. This time around, we decided to go ahead and find out beforehand. (Though I truly could wait to find out with every one of my baby's till the day of. It's exciting... And if you are considering waiting, I 100% would recommend you going for it!)
That being said, now that I know we are finding out ahead of time with this baby on the way, I am excited to "confirm" my feelings. And mirroring how I felt with S the moment I found out I was pregnant, l feel like this one is a boy!
I'm 99% confident. So confident l'm sharing my prediction here, assuming I'll be right. And so confident that I call baby "he" anytime I reference him.
And if I am incorrect... well, I will truly never be able to trust my instincts again.
The end.

Here's our first (and only so far) ultrasound of baby Lindsey #2 at 7 weeks.
I would love to hear your guesses. I have a feeling most of you will guess boy because of how strongly I am expressing my feelings. But it's fun to see your thoughts. There's 50/50 I am wrong, of course! I'll be sharing here after we find out this week. Stay tuned for the reveal.

So exciting! I wondered if it was a boy when you first announced. For some reason I envisioned a little boy as the next babe in your family! I guess we'll have to see!
